What is in this category.
This category holds two very different groups. The copper-bound peptides GHK-Cu and AHK-Cu are researched in connection with collagen, the extracellular matrix and hair follicles. GHK-Cu is one of the few peptides that has also been studied extensively in cosmetic formulations.
The second group are the melanocortin analogues. Melanotan I is selective for the MC1R receptor and is therefore used to research the pigment route specifically. Melanotan 2 binds more broadly, and PT-141 has hardly any effect on pigment.
KPV also belongs here. It is the last fragment of alpha-MSH and is researched in connection with inflammatory signalling in skin tissue, without the pigment action of the other MSH fragments.
